Bio:

Makenna is a recent graduate from Brigham Young University, receiving her degree in Dance Education.  She has performed with a variety of university groups and toured internationally with BYU’s Contemporary Dance Theatre.  Makenna has a great love for performance and choreography and has been recognized and awarded by the contemporary department at BYU for her demonstration and capabilities of these skills.  Makenna has performed with Repertory Dance Theater as a guest artist in the master work “Missa Brevis”, choreographed by Jose Limon.  Makenna continually seeks for new opportunities to challenge herself as an artist and is interested in exploring the physicality and potential of the human body. She completed her student teaching at Vista Heights Middle School, where her love of teaching grew immensely. She enjoys sharing her passion of dance with others, and helping her students find their own voice as individual artists.
